Mauricio Baez cruised past San Lazaro to take 2-0 lead in the Finals. The hosts trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 55-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Mauricio Baez looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized American guard Gerardo Suero (196-89, college: Albany) scored 25 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Juan Miguel Suero (196-93) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American-Puerto Rican swingman Justin Reyes (193-95, college: STAC) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Raphiael Putney (207-90, college: UMass) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Mauricio Baez and four San Lazaro players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
